About PETALS
Through the combined influences of family, school, academic discipline, occupation, workplace, and other factors, most individuals develop a tendency or preference for using certain learning styles over others. PETALS allows you to identify your preferences and provides strategies to ensure effective interactions in these many settings.
- The PETALS Learning Styles Questionnaire is based on the work of David A. Kolb and Bernice McCarthy in the tradition of Dewey, Jung, Lewin, and Piaget.
- The PETALS Questionnaire was designed by the JAS group under the leadership of Dr. Michael Hoppe.
- PETALS has been integrated with the Sunshine State Standards in Florida
- PETALS is currently being utilized by initially licensed teachers in many school systems in Eastern North Carolina
